Illamasqua has never failed to impress me! The high quality products with the luxury packaging will easily tempt you to fall in love with them! Till date I’ve tried a variety of products from this brand, from eyeshadows to blushers, from lipsticks to nail paints; but the nail paints and lipsticks are something I reach out for again and again.
What company says…
The nude versions of the Glamore lipsticks were created by Illamasqua as way of finding a new shade for each skin tone. The brand is known for its excellent diversity in advertising and foundation range, so a selection of nude lipsticks was next step.
Illamasqua have provided advice online for those who cannot see a make-up consultant at the store. Cooler skin tones are advised to pick nude shades with a rosy tone. From their range Rosepout and Stalkers are suggested for cool toned skins.
Coral toned nudes are the medium, they have a balance of warm and cool tones with a kick of colour. Minx and Cherub are the middle ground of the range.
Warmer toned skinned individuals should go for a lipstick shade with a higher percentage of brown hues. Tease, Naked and Buff with their cheeky titles have been recommended for warmer skins.
In the mirror of my own experience
Illamasqua Glamore Lipsticks come in black shiny outer cartons. Inside the cartons we find the traditional squared off shining black case of the lipstick with a click closures with the Illamasqua logo embedded on the top. The packaging is overly glamorous but really classy and designed like this to let the product do the talking. No need to say how I love the packaging.
Illamasqua Glamore Lipsticks come in seven beautiful shades. I picked two of them’ Rosepout and Cherub’.
Cherub is a warm coral shade. It’s a most beautiful shade I have ever used in nude. It’s a perfect shade for everyday and I think no one can dislike it.
Rosepout is a neutral pink brown, it’s paler than the shade description would suggest but it’s easy to wear and has an ‘everyday retro’ feel about it. It’s the shade I would like to apply again and again.
Texture & Pigmentation
Both are extremely moisturising and creamy in texture. I think the formula is perfect for nude shades. I don’t like a nude shade in matte texture. Both are highly pigmented, you get the right color in just few swipes.
Application & Effect
Both have smooth application. They are super creamy so you never need to apply a lip balm before applying them. They are creamy and the color are opaque, they glide beautifully on to the lips, and don’t settle into the fine lines. The lipsticks have a glossy finish and never make my lips dry even in winter. Trust me, I fell in love with both lipsticks after my first application and now I would love to apply them again and again.
Cherub lasted for almost seven hours on me which is quite impressive to see its satin finish. Rosepout stayed for six and half hours on my lips. They take about an hour and a half for the shine to fade and become more satin-like. I love the lasting power of both. After six hours, a light touch up gives you another tension free 5/6 hours!

Beautiful nude shades for all skin tones
Soft, silky and creamy texture
Glide evenly on the lips

No need to apply a lip balm prior to application.
