Hair colouring has become a part of our life. The days are gone when we used to color our hair just to hide the greys. These days, we try different colors on our hair and sometimes experiment with the colors. Just a simple change in your hair color can really make a huge difference in the way you look. I was sent a new hair color called Godrej Nupur Coconut Henna Crème Hair Colour some days back. I was pleased to see lot of natural ingredients in this hair color so I was really excited to try this out.My husband wanted to change his hair color so he told me to try this color on him. He has been using L’Oreal Paris Inoa Hair Color on his hair that he loves. When he told me to do this one, I was a bit confused as to what to do. I didn’t know about the quality of this hair color. when you have had hair color treatment worth couple of thousand bucks then frankly one can get doubtful in trying a hair color for 39 rupees. I think it’s not just me, a lot of us can think the same. Anyways I took hypersensitivity test first, and then applied the color on his hair after a successful test. Today I’m here to share my experience with Godrej Nupur Coconut Henna Crème Hair Colour with all of you.

In the mirror of my own experience
Godrej Nupur Coconut Henna Crème Hair comes in a simple pouch. The packet’s color is similar the product’s shade. It’s a very simple packaging just okayish type. The thing I missed in the packaging is a pair of gloves. I think is essential with any hair color.
The hair color packet contains 2 more sachets, one is a developer and the other one is the colour.
Developer: It’s a white creamy product that smells like a coconut sweet.
Colourant: The Colourant is a thick greenish mixture that has coconut oil, henna and other ingredients but no ammonia which is great. Both the products are 20 g and 20 ml each.
I did a patch test before applying the color. I’ll advised to all of you to do so before applying any hair color or bleach. You can apply a tiny amount of color on the back side of your ear for a few second. If you feel any irritation, burning effect, remove it and don’t use on your hair.
My husband wanted to try the natural brown colour as he has been using the same color. He has some grey hair too and I wanted to see the effect of Godrej Nupur Coconut Henna Crème Hair Colour on greys.
I took a plastic coloring bowl and mixed up both the colour and developer. Even after mixing the two things, I felt that the quantity was less. During the mixing the product, I noticed that he quantity that a single pack has is perfect for men or for women with short hair but for longer hair, you’d need 2-3 sachets of the product. But if you are going to just touch up your long hair, one is enough. This would make the cost become somewhat equal to that of the good enough hair color brands that most of us use at home. Therefore, the notion that we have, that if the hair color is cheap then it will be low on quality is not the case with this.
I started to apply the mixture with a hair brush after wearing a pair of my own gloves in my hands. The application was so easy and the color was spreading totally well on the hair. The smell of coconut was very pleasing because I don’t like the smell of the other leading brand’s hair colors. I saw a glossy effect on my husband’s hair as if the color had some oil in it and this makes it easier to apply it.
After keeping the color for 30 minutes, he washed the hair. While washing his hair, my husband felt that the Godrej Nupur Coconut Henna Crème Hair didn’t make the bathroom floor much messy. He told me that just some brownish water dripped for a while and then clear water was there.
The smell of coconut scent was there even after drying the hair. I also noticed that the oiliness was still in his hair but it doesn’t mean that his hair became oily or sticky, it was a glossy, soft and shiny effect on his hair that was wonderful. After shampooing his hair the next day, he noticed that there was not much of hair color that came out. He didn’t feel any dryness in his hair at all after drying the hair.
Now comes at lasting power that was a big concern but trust me, I was amazed to see its strong lasting power. I applied Godrej Nupur Coconut Henna Crème Hair 3-4days before Eid. The color hasn’t faded at all even after more than two weeks. Isn’t it so impressive?
Enriched with natural ingredients like coconut oil and henna
Easy to apply.
Gives the hair a soft, silky and glossy effect
Does not dry out the hair
The packaging is not much impressive
Quantity is less for females as the given quantity is ideal for men.
|Final result- All hair have been evenly coloured|
Finally I’m totally impressed with the quality of Godrej Nupur Coconut Henna Crème Range. I love how easy to mix and apply this color without getting a mess. The smell and oily effect on the hair is great. You have to wait just 30 minutes and the effect you get after washing the hair is really impressive. The product makes the hair bouncy, glossy and full coverage on the grey hairs. There was no allergy or any discomfort, itching etc. The lasting power of the color is also very good. The price is reasonable. I can say that this is totally a winning product from Godrej. All shades are not only long lasting but also able to completely cover greys.
I highly recommend it to all who want something natural.
Each sachet is worth INR 39
P.S- Thanks to Godrej India for the lovely hamper, I love coconuts!
