I have been using different skincare products from The Body Shop for 2-3 years. I’m really a fan of their skincare products. Though I love their makeup line too and have bought some cosmetics products recently I totally trust them for their skincare ranges. The Body Shop Vitamin E range, Tea Tree, and Shisho Whitening ranges are my favorite. I want to add one more range to this list i.e Drops of Youth. However, I have used only one product, Drops of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask from this range. Recently The brand launched Drops of Youth day cream in India and sent it over to try. Today I’m here to share my thoughts on this newly launched product from The Body Shop.
What the company says…
The Body Shop’s Drops of Youth™Youth Cream is a lightly air-whipped face cream that leaves a flawless, velvety-soft finish to the skin. Taking its technology from plant stem cells from Edelweiss, Sea Holly, and Criste Marine, our Youth Cream smoothes, tightens, and hydrates skin. Pores look tightened, lines appear smoothed, and skin feels bouncier after use.
– Pore look tightened
– Lightly fragrances skin
– Skin feels bouncier
– Provides 24 hour hydration
The Body Shop Drops of Youth Day Cream comes in a white cardboard packaging box. Inside the box is the actual product housed in a dark green glass jar with a black lid. When you open the lid, you find a white shield upon the cream to protect the product from a spill.
The packaging is beautiful for keeping it on the dressing table but not travel-friendly. The jar is made of glass and quite heavy to take it for traveling. The tub packaging is not very hygienic so one should always be careful before using the cream.
The texture is excellent, it’s neither thick nor runny but perfect for all types of skin. The cream is white in color and smells like flowers. The smell is so pleasant and makes me love it, even more, every time I apply it. It is mild and not strong. The texture lies in-between the cream and gel and spreads on the skin like a dream. A little amount is required to cover the whole face and neck.
The cream gets absorbed after massaging and gives instant radiance and glow to the face.
I have been using The Body Shop Drops of Youth day Cream for two weeks and I’m very impressed with the result I got in such a short period. When I started to use this cream, I was suffering from different problems in my skin. As my skin becomes a combination type in this weather so I have to face different skin problems like dry patches and break out at the same time. After using this cream for two weeks, all problems of my skin have vanished and the result is soft and healthy skin. No dry patches, no break out just radiant and youthful effect. Yes, I also used some other products for these problems and I am sure they also worked well but I will give the main credit to this cream. It hydrates the skin very long. I apply it in the morning and it lasts until night when I do my CTM before going to bed. I love how light it feels on the skin and hydrates it without making the skin oily. The only downside of this cream is its high price and the tub packaging. Otherwise, it’s a very impressive product from The Body Shop.
A small amount is needed
Makes the skin soft and youthful
Gives an instant glow just after application
Never makes the skin dry or breaks me out
Totally impressed with this lovely cream. It’s an ideal day cream for all skin types. It completely hydrates the skin and makes it soft, silky, and healthy. I admit it’s a bit costly but as a very little amount is needed each time and the effect is very long-lasting so it’ll last for about two months. I’ll highly recommend this cream to all my readers. Try this amazing day cream, I’m very sure you are going to love it.
Available at all TBS stores and also on their website
