The Body Shop Drops of Youth Liquid Peel Review & Details

The Body Shop Drops of Youth Liquid Peel reviewHey guys,

Hope you all are doing well. At my side the life is still not settled yet. Had to visit Delhi again for hubby’s treatment in AIIMS. He is recovering, but slowly. I am humbly requesting to my readers to pray for us. I hope that God will recover his health completely.

Coming back to the post, today I’m going to review the newly launched product from The Body Shop; The Body Shop Drops of Youth Liquid Peel. The product came into the market keeping in mind the excessive pollution our skin has to face each day. The concept and motive behind this are pretty interesting, let’s find out more about it.

What company says…

  • Liquid peel is a revolutionary exfoliator, no more harsh abrasive scrubs and say hello to a gentle peeling solution to lift impurities from your skin.
  • Removes dead skin cells and residuals.
  • The texture is gel-to-peel, leaving your skin clean and purified from pollutants.
  • Reveals fresh, smoother and more luminous youthful-looking skin.
  • Reduces blemishes, signs of ageing and sun damage.

Aqua/Water/Eau, Alcohol Denat., Propylene Glycol, Glycerin, Carbomer, PPG-26-Buteth-26, Palmitamidopropyltrimonium Chloride, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Quaternium-80, Parfum/Fragrance, Behentrimonium Chloride, Linalool, Citronellol, Cetrimonium Chloride, Isopropyl Alcohol, Crithmum Maritimum Extract, Eryngium Maritimum Extract, Leontopodium Alpinum Callus Culture Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Citric Acid, Xanthan Gum

Use 2-3 times per week for best results. Dispense 2 pumps onto fingertips and massage onto face for up to 20 seconds until exfoliating ‘residues’ appear noticeably and are peeled off. Rinse thoroughly with water.

Always remember to use a sunscreen!

In the mirror of my own experience

The Body Shop Drops of Youth Liquid Peel reviewThe Body Shop Drops of Youth Liquid Peel comes in a dark green pump bottle. With pump, you can dispense the required amount of product without wasting a bit. The packaging is so attractive and appealing, the entire Drops of Youth range has such a beautiful packaging!

The Body Shop Drops of Youth Liquid Peel comes in translucent liquid gel form.  It smells a lot more herbal  because it contains edelweiss, sea holly and criste marine.

It says 2 pumps onto fingertips and massage onto face for up to 20 seconds until exfoliating ‘residues’ appear noticeably and are peeled off and I did exactly what it says with slight modifications in use. I take 2-3 pumps on my fingertips and apply all over my face and neck. I do a light massage in circular motions for about 30-35 seconds because the it takes some time to completely clump up! I think this process also took away all my dead skin cells. After that I rinse my face with fresh water. I found it a bit difficult to wash it only under water so I have to use a cotton ball to remove it completely from the skin.

Coming on to the effect, I must say that it’s really effective. Only after the first use, I noticed its effect on my skin. My skin looked cleaner, squeaky clean and fresh. It removed all impurities and dullness from the skin and left it soft, smooth, youthful and fresh.

I have been using The Body Shop Drops of Youth Liquid Peel for about 20-25 days. I use it 1-2 times a week. I really impressed with the result I got from it. I can see the clear difference in my skin. It improves my skin’s texture and reduces all dullness from it. My skin looks super soft and smooth. I had some blackheads on my nose and I tried lot of scrubs to get rid of this problem but all in vain.  After 3 weeks of using this product, I noticed that it solved this problem too. My nose skin is now cleaner and brighter.

The best part of this peel is that it removes all dead skin and other impurities from the skin but it never pull on my facial hair. It’s easy to remove with a cotton ball or facial sponge.

Not for extremely sensitive skin

Overall it’s really an impressive product from The Body Shop. It actually does what it claims. It’s a fast and gentle peel that gives quick result. It provides great exfoliation and deep cleansing to the skin. I think it’s a great product to try out. It will be perfect for all skin types but if you have very sensitive skin, you can ignore it as it contains alcohol and also some smell that can bother to your nose. For me, it’s a perfect product for summer monsoon and I got it at right time.

This reminds of the Peeling Masks from Korean Beauty brands such as the Nature Republic and Laneige. I didn’t know The Body Shop has a product like that as well 🙂 great review!

i dont think using this often would do my skin any good as it is quite sensitive. But maybe twice a week as a more deep cleaning routine as it sounds really great!
