MAC Squid Modern Twist Kajal Liner Review, Swatches & Price
Hope you are doing well. I’m not feeling well today and have a headache but I don’t want to disappoint my readers who are always waiting for my reviews. Today I’m going to write about the MAC Squid Modern Twist Kajal Liner which I have been using for one year. You all know how a kajal/kohl gives an instant colour to our eyes without any effort. One stroke of kajal gives a fresh change to your face. But it’s important that you choose a good kajal for yourself. A kajal which has good quality and one that has soft textured and which doesn’t smudge or smear. Does the MAC Squid Modern Twist Kajal Liner possess all these qualities? Will test after some initial details.
What company says…
A kohl-like liner that’s sultry seductive and a little bit scandalous. The easy-glide formula makes this pencil a one-stroke wonder with a silky soft texture for rimming the sensitive waterline. Its color intensity and extreme depth creates a look with unparalleled impact. The long-wearing waterproof formula locks in your look for hours.
In the mirror of my own experience
MAC Squid Modern Twist Kajal Liner is a twist-up pencil so there is no need to sharpen and waste the product. It comes in a black outer paper box which has all important information about the liner. The liner is black with a colour-coded band at the end which will help you to find it easily in your makeup box. The cap closes tightly with a click so it’s absolutely secure to travel with. The only problem is that you can’t twist it back. So you have to be careful about it how much you twist up. If you twist too much, you will not be able to twist it back and end up in wastage of product.
The shade is described as carbon Black and it’s totally true. It’s available in many different shades. But if you are a fan of dark black kohl liner, this shade is perfect for you.
The texture is creamy and velvety. It glides on smoothly. In spite of creamy texture, it never breaks during application on the eyes. It glides beautifully on the lids and waterline. It never tugs or pulls during application.
Whenever I apply this kajal to my eyes, I fall in love with its performance on my eyes. It works wonderfully in my super watery waterlines. Most of Kohl/kajals fail to show up intensely in my waterlines but it not only works great in this area but also gives a great effect that I love.
The best part of this kajal is that once it is set it will not move easily so if you want to smudge it to get a smokey effect, do it just after the application.
The pigmentation is wonderful. Just one stroke gives you the right colour. You don’t need to swipe it again and again. It’s totally true of its one-stroke wonder claim.
You can understand the longevity of this kajal from this fact that it stays on my lids for about the entire day till I remove with my makeup remover. In my waterlines, it stays more than 5 hours. It doesn’t fade or smudge at all.
The other thing that makes this kajal extraordinary is that it doesn’t go dry. It has a gel formula which doesn’t dry. It’ll be better if you close it immediately after using it.
Lovely sleek packaging
Gel-like formula which never goes dry
Gives enough colour in just one stroke
Stays on for long even on the waterline
Doesn’t twist back
Overall it’s one of the best kajal eyeliner I have ever used. Very few kohls are as great in quality as this one. It’s the darkest black with velvet like texture, works wonderfully on the eyes and very long lasting. A great product from Mac. I will HIGHLY recommend it to my readers.
