Maybelline Colossal Kohl- Turquoise- Review

Hope you all are good and enjoyed your weekend. I’m in Delhi and have been busy so couldn’t do the Monday outfit post. I know how eagerly my readers wait for Monday’s outfit post. But due to my very busy schedule here I couldn’t do it. Anyways, I’m writing a quick review of Maybelline Colossal Kohl in Turquoise which I have recently bought. Let’s see how I found it.

Maybelline Colossal Kohl comes in its well known pen shaped style. It sleek, cute yellow pen packaging with slight glossy turquoise. The similar colour cap closes tightly and keeps secure the Kohl stick. The packaging is chic and handy. Easily slips in your handbags.

The shade Turquoise is a beautiful shade. I love wearing this shade on my eyes especially on my lower lash lines. The shade can be worn by all skin types. It has slight shimmer in it but it doesn’t show up. You can notice these particles only in direct sunlight. A lovely sheen gives a beautiful effect to your eyes.

The texture is smooth just like the original black Colossal Kajal. Despite the smooth texture it’s firm and applies effortlessly on the eyes. The only thing you should remember that it’s breakable like the original one so you should always be careful while using it. If you want a non breakable Kohl liner, you should invest your money on other brands Kajals like Mac Kajal liner which is unbreakable.

It has great pigmentation, just 2 swipes give the right colour. For a bright turquoise colour you will have to apply just 3-4 swipes. It glides on the eyes smoothly even in my water lines. It doesn’t irritate my eyes at all.

Coming to the staying power of this Kohl pencil, I found it good. It stays for about 5 hours on my eyes which is nice. Unfortunately it is not as good in my water lines as on upper lids. It stays only for 2-3 hours due to my extremely watery eyes.

Good points

Smooth and creamy texture

Glides on the eyes smoothly

Beautiful shade

Affordable

Gives a refreshing change to your eye makeup

Nice packaging

Bad points

Breakable

No ingredients are mentioned

Not glides as softly in the water lines as on the upper lash lines

Doesn’t stay long in my water lines

Finally…

Overall, I love Maybelline Colossal Kohl – Turquoise. It has some weak parts but still a product you should have in your eye makeup section. Whenever I apply it on my lower lash lines with a black a black Kohl on upper lids, the combination gives a gorgeous effect to the eyes which I love. I will recommend it to my readers who like to experiment with their eye makeup.

That’s an awesome shade! 🙂 I wish I could wear eyeliner, I always make a mess when I try so it’s just a look I admire on others instead! 🙂

Hope you are having a great weekend! With all of the gifts bought and wrapped I’m enjoying a last quiet day before all the Christmas festivities begin, I’m so looking forward to Christmas!
