Ways To Get Ready For A Winter Wedding Party
A very happy New Year to all! I hope you all are enjoying the holidays and still have your party shoes on. Talking of parties, we all want to stand out at a party, don’t we? We all desire to look the most attractive and enticing on that special evening. But for this you have to prepare yourself 2-3 days before the occasion. There are a lot of things you have to keep in your mind before the day. You should never get ready for a party in a hurry. The Christmas
and New Year parties may be over but the wedding
season is still on in its full glory! In today’s post I would like to share my suggestions on how to look your best at a party along with a winter wedding guest outfit.
How to get ready for a party
Selection of the right outfit
Selecting the perfect outfit for the party is the most important task. Always choose an outfit which suits you best. It’s not important that you go to the market and buy new clothes for yourself. Most of you must have already spent quite some money on the Christmas & NY outfits, so practically, you don’t need to spend more money on buying clothes. You can choose any outfit
you think will look best on you at that evening. As far as I’m concerned, I don’t like to attend parties. I like to spend my evening at home with my family but whenever I go out, I prefer an Indian outfit
for any special occasion.
Go for a relaxed facial and hair Spa
Some work to be done by a day before the evening. If you feel that your skin looks dry
or tired and your hair are not in their best condition, make a visit to salon to have a good facial
and hair spa. It will do a wonder to your skin and hair. If you don’t want to spend money for these services, do it yourself. Apply hot olive oil
in your hair overnight and wash it in the morning then give a deep condition by applying a good conditioner
. For skin, you can exfoliate with a mild scrub
and then apply a Brightening face mask
for 15-20 minutes and relax. You will see a big difference by doing this instantly.
Choose the right accessories
Any outfit can’t be completed without perfect accessories. Right accessories play an important role to make your outfit effective. Accessories totally change the look and feel of an outfit so make any outfit your own by accessorizing it your way. With ethnic wear
the importance of accessories more increases. weather it’s saree
, lehnga or any kind of suit,
right and matching jewelry
gives a majestic effect. If you are wearing Indo-western wear, select your jewellery according to your outfit. Matching clutch or bag will complete your look strikingly.
Protection from cold
The weather is very cold these days and mostly people plan their marriages in winters. I have noticed that in such occasions, men are fully dressed up while women seem pretty keen to bear the cold for we are unwilling to compromise with our outfit. But if we follow some things we can protect ourselves from the cold without trading-off our glamorous look. I always wear a woollen tights underneath my bottom weather that is saree, lehnga or suit. It can be worn with a gown too. If you don’t want to wear a coat or cardigan
with ethnic wear, you can simply carry a shawl with them. A shawl gives a graceful effect to your ethnic outfit. There is a lot of variety in shawls
available in the market. You can choose one from a simple plain shawl to a kashmiri embroidered one. You can simply put it on one side of the shoulder and wrap it around if needed. Believe me, it will raise the level of your style sense.
Although, sleeping soundly is always a must for all but before any special occasion it’s all the more important to have a good night’s sleep before the day. Our skin
rejuvenates while we sleep, the cells of our skin build up when we relaxed so make sure you take a sound sleep so that you wake up with a fresh and soft skin in the morning.
Take a long and relaxed bath
You should take a long and relaxing bath before the evening because your skin needs relax just like the rest of your body and your mind do. But make sure the atmosphere of your bathroom should be relaxing so that you can enjoy your bath. For that you should arrange candles
around the room to create a relaxing atmosphere. You can play your favourite music for enjoying the bath. You can also add a bath essence with a pleasant fragrance, but nothing that will dry your skin out.
Take a sweet nap in the afternoon
It’ll work great. After a light and nutritious lunch you should take a short nap in the afternoon. Before the evening it’s a nice way to relax your body.
Your makeup for the evening
Your makeup should be according to your outfit and of course, one that suits you. For a day event, skip bold or heavy makeup while for an evening occasion you can surely give it a try. When your eye makeup
‘s bold, try keeping your lip colour
light and natural and vice versa. Subtly highlight parts of your face and even body that will reflect the light and illuminate those areas beautifully!
Styling the hair according to your outfit
Really important too. Good hairstyle gives you a confidence level to feel more gorgeous from within. From messy curls to classic braids, there’s an entire catalogue of hairstyles out there waiting for you! So as per your outfit and makeup decide your hairstyle.
Selection of right footwear
Finally, wrap up your party look with a spritz of your favourite perfume and some hair spray to keep that hairstyle intact. Now you are ready to make heads turn at the party!
Coming to my outfit:
I wore this beautiful orange, rust and bronze embroidered suit. This kameez is beautifully designed with resham and zari thread work, sequins work, patch work and patch patti border work on printed base to make it more attractive. It was initially unstitched but as mentioned in this post(HERE), I gave my measurements to the webstore and what arrived at my door was a perfectly stitched suit. I am totally in love with the colours; the combination of orange, rust and bronze with golden embroidery and the floral design at the shoulders is absolutely droolworthy! Being someone who is very much affected by the cold weather. I couldn’t skip on my favourite black Kashmiri shawl. It’s a rather simple one that doesn’t steal the spotlight from the suit and yet beautiful enough to carry along with it. I kept my hair open, added some accessories and a pair of heels to complete my outfit. As for the makeup, there’s a complete breakdown HERE.
