This is Shruti, with a new product review. So excited to contribute with COB. My today’s review is about an essential product for winter we can’t live without. You can guess it very easily, yes it’s a lip balm. Only girls like me who have super dry lips can only understand the importance of lip balms in winter. I have been using a lot of lip balms from different brands. In today’s post going to review a new lip balm named Just Herbs Liquorice Shea Lip Butter Balm which I have added in my lip balm collection recently. I was sent this beauty from COB. So let’s start the review..
What company says…
Unlike petroleum jelly and other petroleum derived mineral oils, these natural ingredients not only seal in the lips moisture but also impart additional hydration to coarse and parched lips without clogging pores. Liquorice root extract helps brighten dull, darkened lips gradually giving them their natural sheen.
- No mineral oils or petroleum bi-products
- Contains certified organic ingredients
- Free from petrochemicals, parabens, SLS/SLES PEG/PPG, Genetically modified ingredients(GMO) and other synthetic ingredients
Organic beeswax, Avocado oil, Shea butter, Liquorice root extract, Mace (nutmeg arils), certified organic cold-pressed Safflower oil, certified organic cold-pressed Sweet Almond Oil, natural preservative blend of herbs and essential oils.
How to use
Rub gently on lips with fingertips as often as required.
In the mirror of my own experience
Just Herb Lip Butter Balm comes in a tub packaging with a black lid. The packaging is cute but not hygienic. It would have better if it was in a tube packaging.
The texture of the balm is s bit oily but once you rub it, it gets absorbed well. The balm has a lovely smell of shea butter and feels quite pleasant. The lip balm is made from certified organic beeswax, certified organic cold pressed oils of Avacado, Safflower and sweet almond along with ultra moisturizing Shea Butter.
It spreads on the lips very well and gives makes it soft and hydrated instantly. It feels very light weight on the lips. It doesn’t feel that I have applied something on your lips. It provides hydration to the parched lips. The liquorice root extract helps brighten dull and dark lips. My lips are getting dry not only in winter but in other seasons too. I always keep a lip balm in my purse. I love the effect I got after using it. It makes my lips soft, smooth and hydrated.
If I talk about the staying power of the balm, it’s a bit disappointing. It’s not very long lasting. The effect of the balm lasts for about 1-2 hours only. After that you need to reapply. I didn’t see any lightening effect on my lips but maybe I get it after long-term use. The best part of this balm is that it’s not waxy at all so it will be best on your lips before applying a matte lipstick.
Very light weight
Never feels heavy or oily
Gives instant relief to dry and chapped lips
No mineral oils
Mkaes the lips soft and smooth
Need to reapply
Didn’t notice any lightening effect
Just Herbs Liquorice Shea Lip Butter Balm is a good lip balm. It’s moisturizing and hydrates dry and chapped lips instantly. It’s very lght weight but it doesn’t give long lasting effect. You have to apply multiple times to keeps your lips soft. But to see the cost, I’m not very impressed with the quality. I’ll recommend it to those who love light weight formula for their lips.
