The Body Shop Lip Juicers Review, Swatches & Price

How do you get ready when you have to go out in monsoons? Just wear clothes which are comfortable and suit you well according to the occasion. When it comes to makeup it will be the last thing you would like to do in this sweaty and humid weather, right? All makeup gets ruined due to sweat. If you ask about me I usually go out without makeup as I love to remain natural. Lip balms are my go to product. I just apply some tinted lip balms like Maybelline baby lips, Stay Quirky, Nivea and a lot of others but never got full satisfaction. Recently, The Body Shop launched their new range of lip balms. I never tried their lip balm before so was curious about it. I got two from this range and my today’s review is all about these smoothie-inspired lip juicers. So, let me tell you more about them.

How To Use:

Glide easily over the natural shape of the lips, for a non-sticky, comfortable to wear finish.

Available in 5 gorgeous shades each juicer is enriched with Community Trade shea butter, marula oil and organic olive oil to deeply nourish, repair and protect your lips. I have two of the five flavours; Kiwi, Kale & Watermelon, Raspberry, Ginger & Beetroot and it’s almost impossible to decide which Juicer I love the most! I love my kiwi, kale and watermelon as it possesses the most pleasant scent of watermelon which is both refreshing and delicious!

In the mirror of my own experience

The Body Shop lip Juicers comes in cute chubby packaging which is eye-catching and attractive. The variants I have, one has green and the other has a pink jar which house the lip balms. Both have similar coloured screw on have to just open the screw on cap and apply directly to the lips. The packaging is so cute and freshly different from traditional lipstick style lip balms. Though it needs some more space in your purse for carrying along but I don’t mind it. The packaging is not only very cute and colourful but completely safe and hygienic.

The first one has no tint and it’s colourless while the second Raspberry is a lovely bright pink in colour. Each lip balm has different key ingredients/flavours like Raspberry, Beetroot and Ginger The green lip balm has Kiwi, Kale and Watermelon.

The smell of these lip balm is amazing, especially the green one is the most pleasant smelling lip balm I have ever used.

The texture of these lip balms is quite different from the regular lip balms. It’s thick but glide on the lips smoothly. They don’t feel slippery and thin on the lips. They feel like applying a semi-matte lightweight lipstick on the lips. These are not shiny or sticky at all.

Now coming to the effect of these beauties, I must say they are fabulous! When I first saw these lip balms, despite their cuteness and other things, I considered them pricey but after using them just after my first use I knew why they are pricey and why should we pay such high price for lip balms. I was amazed to see the effect of them on my lips. My lips were super moisturised and nourished. The lovely hint of colour was looking great. The shade when kind of built up is like a matte, translucent, bright, light to medium cool-toned pink.

The best part of these lip balms is their lasting power. They stay for about 5 to 6 hours. Do you believe? But it’s true, I admit that my lips are not super dry and the weather is not like winters but still I never found a lip balm that has so strong lasting power. I apply the colourless one in the night before going to bed. In the morning when I wake up, I get my lips plump and hydrated. Yes after using them, I got to know that they are worth this price and I don’t mind investing my money in a right product for me.

On my lips -The Body Shop Lip Juicer Raspberry, Ginger & Beetroot

I think I don’t need to say anymore that how much I’m impressed with these beauties. These are excellent products from The Body Shop and I think the best lip balms in the Indian market. I am a lip balm person and this is my go to go product as I never liked those with shiny and glossy finish. Most lip balms have thin texture and give a lip gloss kind of finish which I don’t like. The other thing that I always used to miss in lip balms was their lasting power. I always had to reapply them to save my lips from dryness but with these Lip Juicers, there is no tension of reapplication again and again. They give a matte lipstick kind of finish in a natural way. My lips look and feel plump, hydrated and juicy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
