Hey guys,
It’s so hard to believe that we are in March 2021 already and I can’t decide if it’s good or bad that the year just flew by. Fortunately, conditions in and around my area have improved quite a lot so the darkest hour has passed for now.

We all have missed travelling, the carefree journeys that we could take to anywhere, anytime. A couple of weekends back, my family and I took the opportunity of a free weekend to go for a staycation outside the city. A friend of my husband, had invited us over to his resort and we didn’t want to miss the opportunity because if there’s one thing 2020 has taught me, it’s to live every moment to the fullest and not procrastinate!

So, we hopped into our car and set out for that place which we didn’t realize was actually located high up in the mountains! As we drove on the winding mountain roads, the view kept getting better and better. At one point it felt like we were driving through the smokey clouds.

The resort named Vertical valley resort is located 70 km away from Dehradun, nestled amidst the high mountains. Our hosts were so generous and it proved to be one of the best weekends of my life. We were given the most beautiful tent house rooms and in front lay the mighty mountains.
The dining area was a beautiful glass café and the food was excellent! We were given a warm welcome with a hot cup of coffee and snacks because it was really windy & cold.

We were so happy to see the alluring beauty of that place. The calm and peace gave us a much needed break from the hustling life in the city. I have visited many hilly areas in the past but always found them crowded. You can’t feel the true beauty of any place when there are so many people around. Here, we had the panoramic view of valleys, gushing rivers, beautiful mountains and rustic villages, all to ourselves!

This is the outfit that I wore on Day 1. I wanted something really cozy and comfortable for the car journey but didn’t want to be too casual because of course, had to get clicked in this gorgeous location. So, I wore this peach jumper with blue jeans and white sneakers. I really love this long cozy jumper as it has these cute balloon sleeves, subtle details can really make any item of clothing interesting. I wore a white shirt underneath because this jumper has quite a plunging neckline. I was really pleased with how that looked, the lighter colour palette certainly worked in my favour! Kept my makeup light and fresh.

That was really a great experience of my life. This place has amazing scenery and it will be a treat to eyes. I will HIGHLY RECOMMEND visiting this resort to my readers. Believe me you will have an amazing time too!

I’m wearing:
Sweater – F21
Jeans – Mango
Sneakers – Puma (here)
Bag – Kate Spade
It’s good to hear that conditions conditions have improved where you live. It looks like you had a really lovely getaway at this resort. It must be nice to be able to enjoy nature like this again.
