Embroidery is always in trend. Women have been loving embroidery for centuries. This season the brands are adorning denim with fun stitching, offering a modern twist to our day-to-day look. Whenever I see embroidered jeans, it reminds me of my childhood. My mother used to sow my little denim skirt adorned with some cute flowers embroidery. I felt extremely pleased to see those skirts and shorts. Then I saw these embroideries on denims when my daughter was about two years old. I had bought a lot of little denim jeans, skirts and capris for my little cutie. I still remember, when I firstly bought her embroidered denim Capri and other clothes and show her, she excitedly remarked ‘ Mom, there is a flower on my jeans!’ and we laughed her super cute comment.
Actually this trend began its journey from 60’s to 70’s where there was a craze for embroidered jeans. It seems that artistis and hippies might have got bored with their simple and plain jeans so they decorated them with colorful threads. This season, the trend has come back not only on our denim jeans but also shirts, blouse, skirts and dresses. Embroidery tops, blouses, pants, dresses, jackets, handbags, even accessories are gaining populartity and market is floooded with them. I am totally obsessed with this trend and have bought a lot of embroidered clothes this year.
While I was writing this post, I remembered an incident that occured with me this summer. We were in Delhi those days and that day, my daughter, sister and I went for shopping. We bought a lot of stuff for ourselves. After shopping we were returning back home but on the way back my sister and daughter saw a Zara showroom and insisted me to check out it. So we went there, the first thing that caught my eyes was a lovely embroidered jeans. That was a skinny light blue denim jeans with pink embroidery. We bought that jeans and some other clothes. It was quite late when we booked a cab for returning home. We had a lot of shopping bags with us and of course, we were tired too. When the cab halted we picked the bags up and went into the house. After resting for about 2-3 hours, when we were checking our shopping, I found that we had left a bag in the cab and that was one with the jeans. I was so sad and even today I haven’t forgotten that jeans.
When I saw this jeans ( which I’m wearing) on the web store, it reminded me of that pair and I ordered it instantly. A jeans with embroidery especially floral embroidery is close to my heart. This is not only beacuse it reminded me my childhood but also because it makes a simple and casual outfit outstanding.
There are a lot reasons to follow this trend. In my opinion, if you have an embroidery jeans you can wear it in many ways. Just pick a blue denim jeans with some embroidery and you are ready to stye it.
My first way to style my embroidery jeans is the same you can see in the pictures. A blue jeans with floral embroidery with a white self design sweater and a pair of white sneakers. I will not add any accessories with this outfit because the embroidery on my jeans provides the statement effect.
Choose one light colored jeans with a beautiful design, style it with a velvet blazer jacket and heels. Finish your style with a crossbody bag and hat.
If you love bright colors, pair your blue denim jeans with a light yellow or mustard cardigan or sweater. Finished it with brown boots and bag.
Another stylish way to wear it is with a burgundy leather jacket with embroidered red flowers on the jeans. You can it with ankle booties. I will definitelly try this style very soon.
Do you like to wear an embroidered jacket with your embroidery jeans? The style will be daring but I would love to take this risk. Believe me it will be a beautiful combination.
There are a lot of different styles in my mind but I think it’s enough for today 🙂
Coming to my outfit:
As I have mentioned above, I have styled the #1 style for today’s outfit. I orderd this jeans from Rosegal. It is distressed denim blue jeans with regular fitting. I love its red flowers embroidery. I paired it with this white v neck lace up sweater also from the same place. The sweater is super soft with criss cross detailing on the sleeves. Can be worn with many ways. I have skipped accessories with this outfit and finished it with a pair of comfy white sneakers, a black bag and shades.
