Colorbar Definer Lip Liner Clear Red Review, Swatches

Hey everyone,

Hope you all are doing well. The last few days haven’t been good enough for me. The weather has been extremely cold, my husband’s health is also somewhat not at its best. I’m also not feeling great. But still, I can’t miss the regular post. So today I’m here with a lipliner which I had bought a few months ago. I needed a red lipliner for my red lipsticks especially for Mac Ruby Woo and  L’Oréal Paris Moisture Matte Lipstick in Flaming Kiss . After searching some brands, I decided to buy the Colorbar Definer Lip Liner in Clear Red. The shade was beautiful and quite matching to those lipsticks. Today’s review is all about this scarlet red lipliner from Colorbar.

What company says…

Here comes a perfect partner for your lipstick that keeps it in place for an all-day look. This waterproof magic lip wand works as a fabulous lip filler which makes a proper matte base for your lips. The innovative refined formula follows and outlines the lip contour with an adjustable coverage and does not smudge.
Extra Precise, Extremely soft, Highly Pigmented, Rich colour pay-off, Full coverage.

In the mirror of my own experience

Colorbar Definer Lip Liner comes in a glossy cardboard box with all the important information about the product. I couldn’t click the pics of the outer box because it disappeared somewhere by mistake 🙂 The pencil is housed in the box safely. The pencil is long enough and comes with the cap a similar colour cap with has an inbuilt sharpener which is helpful for sharpening the pencil.

The shade Clear Red is really a clear and perfect red just its name. It’s a shade you can apply with any of your red lipstick. This shade is universally beautiful for the most of skin tones.

The texture is smooth and creamy. It glides on the lips like a dream. It’s so soft and silky you can easily apply it to all over of your lips too. The pigmentation is wonderful. You get the right colour in just one swipe.

It gives such a beautiful outline to the lips & makes them look as if in perfect shape! It is waterproof too which prevents it from fading soon. The staying power is great. It fades a little and lasts long. You should use a makeup remover for removing it completely.

There are mostly good parts of this product but the sharpening part and the price are somewhat its downsides. I prefer retractable lip liners. I have many Colorbar retractable lipliners that I love but I’m not comfortable with the sharpening as it wastes the product and often results in a broken tip. The other downside is its high price. You will think several times to spend 500 bucks on a lipliner from a drugstore brand but once you spend, trust me you will not regret it.

Good points

Long and sleek pencil looks attractive

Comes with a inbuilt sharpener

Beautiful red shade

has color indicator at the end of the pencil

Smooth and silky texture

has high pigmentation

Great staying power

Bad points

By sharpening the product gets wasted

I’m loving this lipliner. The shade is perfect almost with all my red lipsticks. The quality is very impressive. Despite a high price, it’s totally worth the cost. The pencil is long and will go for long. I’m thinking to get hold of some more colours from this range. Highly recommended!

It’s a shame it costs a bit for you as it does sound like a lovely product! It’s a nice shade of red too.

Hope that you are having a good week so far! It’s been a bit crazy here! 🙂

I love how a sharpener is built into the pencil’s cap – that’s such a clever and useful inclusion to the product! Happy to hear you’re loving this lip liner 🙂
