The Body Shop Fresh Nude Foundation Review, Swatches & Photos

I think you all agree with me that how incredibly hard it is for anyone to find a foundation that matches your skin perfectly. Especially if you have yellow toned skin like me. It’s often happened with me that if I choose a matching shade to my skin, seems slightly lighter to it and choosing one shade darker makes me look strange. Last year The Body Shop came out with a new foundation range and I thought to test it out because there are 16 shades available in that range.

After testing some shades, I finally got Fiji Sand 026 which is perfectly close to my skin tone. I have been using this foundation since 6 months and you would have seen many makeup looks wearing this foundation. Today I got a chance to write about The Body Shop Fresh Nude Foundation so let’s see how I found it after using.

What company says…

Make every day a good skin day with Fresh Nude Foundation. Enriched with English rose water and aloe vera, this hydrating formula leaves skin feeling beautifully fresh and comfortable all day. It also contains SPF 15 to help protect your skin. With a semi-matte finish, each of these 16 nature-inspired shades mimics the look of fresh-faced natural skin with a nude glow.
• 16 nature-inspired shades
• Up to 24H moisturisation
• Light to medium coverage
• Semi-matte, fresh-faced finish
• SPF 15
• Suitable for sensitive skin & dermatologically tested

The main ingredients in the product are emollients (Diheptyl Succinate, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Cetyl Dimethicone, Sclerocarya Birrea Seed Oil) a silicone (Cyclohexasiloxane) which evaporates upon application, UV filters (Octocrylene, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Titanium Dioxide), emulsifiers (PEG 30 Dipolyhydroxystearate), thickening agents (Magnesium Sulfate), Alcohol Denat., humectants (Glycerin), and suspending agents (Disteardimonium Hectorite).

In the mirror of my own experience

The Body Shop Fresh Nude Foundation comes in a glass bottle. The bottle has a pump dispenser which makes this easy to use. The packaging is perfect. It’s sturdy, travel-friendly and convenient.

I have already discussed about the shade. The texture of this foundation is slightly runny but not watery. It’s a light textured foundation which gives the most natural and dewy finish. The formula of this foundation is infused with English rose water and 100% organic aloe vera to hydrate and soothe the skin. It contains SPF 15 for which is helpful for protection of sun.

The foundation has a very mild smell of rose which gives a pleasant feeling. It blends like a dream and sink into the skin beautifully. The formula is very lightweight and hydrating. It gives a semi-matte finish to my skin. It has a hydrating formula which is wonderful for my dry skin. It contains aloe vera and rose water which is really helpful for keeping the skin hydrating and luminous.

It has light-medium coverage but it’s buildable and gives my skin a flawless and even finish. If you have slightly dark spots, you need a concealer to hide it perfectly. If you have oily or combination skin, you need a setting powder to set it perfectly. It sets very well on the skin and keeps the skin looking fresh throughout the day. You don’t have to worry about dry patches while wearing this foundation. It will be a great foundation for mature skin because it does not settle into the fine lines and wrinkles. The hydrating and soothing formula ensures that your skin remains comfortably fresh throughout the day.

It has good staying power. It lasts for about 7-8 hours on my skin as it is light and natural finish foundation. It’s a foundation which will work for almost all skin types well. Maybe very oily skin ladies found it not perfect for them as it doesn’t offer oil control. For me it’s one of the favourite foundations.
