The combination of pink and blue clouds in the sky today reminded me of my teen age days when love to me symbolised teddy bears, beautiful cards, flowers and ofcourse chocolates.. as I embarked upon the marital life this concept crystallised into a face, a person who suddenly became the centre point of life.
It was often embarrassing to admit that every time there was a knock on the door I searched for the same face. In course of life I realised that love doesn’t only mean appreciating what is beautiful but also accepting and understanding the flaws and differences. It means growing out of those differences. They say the best part of a kiss is that you cannot see anything ugly in each other. It’s exactly the same about a state of love.
A heart full of love radiates positive energy and the best part- your love should be independent of any outside element..else it would be enslaved. I remember a quote from a movie which said ‘ I don’t even need you in order to love you’ that to me is love.. that makes you strong and not weak. That makes you move forward and that is in consonance with the mighty forces of the heavens..
To be honest, the so-called valentine’s day never meant much for me, but if that means taking an opportunity to tell someone how he or she means to you, then why not.
It’s a good reason to smile and make some one smile.. to appreciate and approve each other even if it’s over a simple cup of coffee. Every reason is a good reason to celebrate.. believe you me, it’s not a favour for your partner. If you appreciate him or her rather it’s you who is consciously choosing happiness over deprivation and disappointment.. because the moment you start looking at the dark side you wrap your self in darkness. So come on fellas..
Just kick start a conversation, plan out a road trip completely unplanned, add something to your looks that brings the best in you once again, sing a song with your partner aloud. do something totally crazy.. or just cry out each others name on a hill top and let the horizons know how much love you carry in your heart.
Love you all <3
Coming to my outfit:
Let’s talk about the outfit and this amazing location I shot at! Valentine’s week calls for some romantic dates with your better half. If you think ‘date nights’ are too cliché, this February sunshine is the perfect weather for a lunch date. I recently discovered a hidden gem in the city – Cafe Raazmataaz. Built on the nautical theme with outdoor seating, this cafe has a perfect ambience for some romantic conversation over a plate of brownie or a bowl of pasta. And we all know a day date calls for a different outfit than an evening occasion.
I went for something other than the usual pink or red, a cute pom pom sweater. This jumper is a really adorable piece of knitwear to own in your winter closet. It’s slightly oversized which makes it all the more suitable for this weather. The colourful pom poms add an interesting contrast over the Grey knit. I teamed it with a pair of blue jeans and black boots for a casual yet stylish attire.
