A Trip To My Hometown
Last month was quite interesting and for my family and I. We visited some places to meet our relatives. At first, I visited Lucknow where my sister-in-laws live. After that to my in-law’s place which is located a short distance from Lucknow. This is a town and actually, this is my native place too. My husband is also from there. All our relatives belong to this town. If you remember, I mentioned it in one my previous post that my grandparents lived in that town. We all lived with them in a big house as a joint family. After sometime, my mother joined my father who was in Calcutta due to his job. We used to live in Calcutta but always spent our holidays with my grandparents.
Earlier, our visits were more frequent as my husband also belongs to there but gradually, due to the busy routine of life we haven’t been able to catch up with everyone much.
This time we came here after about one and the half year. My husband desperately wanted to meet his parents for a long time but doctors had strictly refused to allow him to travel. Anyways this time doctor allowed him and we reached our town.
That was really a very emotional moment when he met his parents. They are old and are not able to travel, just keep in contact by video and voice calls. I was really happy to see my husband so happy and we stayed for 5 days there. Our relatives and friends came to meet us with a lot of great wishes. I met some relatives whom I hadn’t met for ages. Some cousins who had shifted to other countries when we were teenagers and we didn’t get chance to meet after that. I was so happy to see them, that was really a pleasant moment when you meet your childhood fellows. You can imagine that there is nothing like meeting a childhood fellow because these are the people who remind you your beautiful childhood days, who loved us for who we really were. Before we grew up before time and age changed us. With them, our childhood days become so memorable. Well, this time we promised each other to keep in contact regularly.
After 5 days we went to Kanpur where my parents stay with my youngest sister. We didn’t have much time so stayed there for just two days. Whenever I meet my parents, I feel they have became weaker than before and when I showed concern about it they laughed and said ‘ we are alright, it’s your concern and deep affection which make you think like that. Those two days passed like a fresh breeze passes through and ended. Though we all were not pleased with that very short time meeting but were still happy to spend some time with each other.
That trip was quite hectic and we had to run here and there for travelling but still, we came back with a lot of beautiful memories. We both were pleased and happy. The truth is that the life is too short and sometimes to meet each other makes the life beautiful. We get some strange energy and strength to meet and talk with our loved ones. Don’t you think so?
Coming to my outfit:
Now something about my today’s outfit, as you can see I wore a denim skirt after a long time but I think summer is the best time to wear one . Long to short skirts can be worn with different style easily. The only thing you remember is that you should choose such denim fabric which is cool and feels comfortable on the skin. You can get such denim skirts easily in the market. Never go for cheap denim, always invest in a high-quality fabric skirt. No need to add a lot of denim skirts in your closet. Just two or three in different style are enough to style in different ways for all the season.
This one is one of my favourite denim skirts and you must have seen me wearing it in some outfit posts earlier. The fitting and especially the length is this skirt is what I’m comfortable with.
I didn’t want to keep it very casual so I selected this gorgeous printed off the shoulder blouse and paired it with it. The skirt made something like a top with statement sleeves seem more low-maintenance. I finished my look with a pair of white lace tights, black heels, sunglasses and some minimal accessories.
