Cool Ways To Style Blue With White
It’s probably my least favourite time of the year because the weather is all dull, wet and humid. Not easy to click pictures or even go out so staying at home is the only option.
Well today, I wanted to share some pictures of an outfit I wore a couple of months back when I visited Chandigarh. The weather was all about clear blue skies and I wanted to wear something casual and beautiful. With that in mind, I went for the classic combination of white and blue. Before coming to my outfit, let’s talk about this evergreen combination in more detail.
I would like to list some white and blue outfit ideas for you guys because no matter how many times I have worn this combo, I’m always looking for more ideas and in case there are others like me, they may find this helpful!
Classy and girly- white top, denim skirt
This is one of my favourite outfit choices ever- a chic blue denim skirt with a white top. The top can be a casual white shirt, a blouse, an off-shoulder top or even a tank top. It looks feminine and classy. Denim mini skirts look really playful and perfect for summers. In fact, they can even be worn with tights when the temperature is a bit cooler.
Once a favourite, always a favourite
I’m talking about the combination of a white t-shirt with blue jeans. It can be the simplest of looks and yet will never fail you. Add some more colours by wearing a few accessories like a neckerchief or colourful jewellery. Finish your outfit with cute flats or heels and make a statement with a slogan tee.
Well, my look comprised of a beautiful bell-sleeve blouse with blue denim.
Ethereal in white- Jumpsuit
For a more unique take on the combination, I will suggest you go for an ethereal white jumpsuit. Most suitable for a lunch date, you can add blue to the outfit by wearing blue sandals or adding a belt to clinch the waist. Jumpsuits show your curves flawlessly and are a statement piece in your closet. Trust me, you are going to look spectacular!
Keep it short- White top-Denim shorts
This is yet another beloved combination in summers. It’s cute, girly and comfortable. Pull on your favourite pair of blue shorts with a basic white tee. It’s an epitome of summer chic which most of you can already pull off so easily. You can add red accessories like a sling bag or scarf to complete the look. 4th of July, much?
On the formal side
White and blue can make for a great formal outfit for both men and women. Women can wear a crisp white shirt with a navy blue pencil skirt. This will bring out the best of both colours. Keep the look simple and formal buy avoiding any eye-catching accessories. You can also wear a white shirt with straight leg blue pants or to add an edge, with flared blue pants. Don’t forget to put on a nice pair of heels to make the most of those gorgeous legs.
Coming on to my outfit-
As already mentioned these photos were taken in Chandigarh when I visited the city for a day in May. In the evening, we escaped to the Dr. Zakir Hussain Rose Garden, which is one of the major attractions of the city. It was almost dusk and was easy to find a quiet spot in the vast garden. I paired my blue denim with a lovely new white blouse. This blouse is pretty simple except for the beautiful bell sleeves and a buttoned back. I really enjoy adding a pop of red to my white and blue outfits so naturally went for my Lulu Guinness, a pair of red heels and red lips.
