Yellow Dress Trend For Summer Monsoon
Yellow dresses have been the centre of attraction from the runways to Oscar’s red carpet for the past few years. You can notice the famous celebrities in this bright hue at almost all special occasions. Wearing yellow from head to toe has been really a challenge to me as I don’t think I’m the right person to carry this colour perfectly. Whenever I have touched this colour, paired it with some other colours like white, turquoise and pink. You can check these some old post here, here and here. But this time I wanted to wear it alone without touching any other hue. I have a lot of example of the famous ladies like Gigi Hadid, Emma Stone, Rihanna, Amal Clooney and many more. These celebrities have set the example how to wear this colour in the perfect way.
I was looking for a perfect yellow dress which could suit my skin tone and fortunately got it. After wearing this dress I felt how badly I needed this bright colour dress in my life and also that we all need to add a yellow dress in our closet especially in monsoons. Monsoon is the best time to wear some bright colours after summer’s light and pastel shades.
Yellow is perfect for holidays
If you are going on a holiday, keep a yellow dress in your suitcase. It will take a less space and you can wear it effortlessly. The best part of this colour is that you don’t need much to accessorise with it. You are going to a sea beach or a hilly area, the colour will be noticed anywhere. With a yellow dress, you will get ready even on a short note. Just put the dress, do a light makeup, take a woven bag and minimal accessories and you are done.
Adds some rays of sunshine to the gloomy weather
You must have often seen in Bollywood movies especially in Yash Chopra’s movies, the heroines in a yellow chiffon saree. Now the trend has changed and actresses have started to wear the same colour maxi dresses or gowns in the song sequences. Actually, it’s the quality of this colour, it brings colour like sunshine in the scene. It’s used in such situations when the director wants the heroine to stand out in the song easily. That is the reason it is considered a photogenic colour. I don’t think any other colour except red, can challenge it in this area.
Incomparable for the special occasion
If you talk about special occasions, yellow dress is the one that clicks up your mind. As it is in trend these days and the all the leading ladies have shown us how to carry this colour on the red carpet, that’s the reason it has become a perfect choice for parties, functions and festivals. It stands out itself in a crowd so and attracts attention. Think sarees, long dresses, skirt palazzo or Anarkali kurtas pairing it with other colours and add some excitment and brightness in your look.
Because it’s in vogue
Hollywood’s leading ladies are currently captivated by shades of yellow. As this shade makes any occasion special so it is one of the best choices for any girl. However, if you are hesitant and feel shy in wearing this colour to your office, school and college, you can pair this colour with less bright colors like white, black and dull green. In fact, you can select this shade from pastel to marigold to canary. If you wear silhouettes, pair it with a white blazer or a leather jacket. There are plenty of ways to wear this colour and dazzle even in a dull atmosphere.
Coming to my outfit:
As I already mentioned how I love this dress and chose it at first sight. I love its lightweight material, that wasn’t overly designed. The colour is perfect for summer and monsoon. I admired the sweet layered ruffle details which enhance its beauty. I found it at Afamado, this is the second dress I got from their summer/monsoon collection. I can’t wait to wear this again! As you can see I didn’t touch any other colour with it, just some pearl accessories and my favourite bag. I finished my look by wearing my new sandals. Speaking of sandals, this is a new pair I got from Amiclubwear. These are black velvet block heels decorated with white pearls. It’s undoubtedly one of the most beautiful pairs of heels I own. They are more like slip ons which are really comfortable and stunning! Let me know what you think about this outfit.
