Why Every Relationship Needs a Little Space

Why Having Space In A Relationship Is Important
You are in a relationship, living a happily married life, you have no complaints with your partner or life but still, you miss something sometimes…what? Don’t you think you need some space? Some moments that you could live for yourself? Doesn’t matter how healthy your relationship is, how successful you are in your marriage I think we all come to a point when we want some space in our relationship. I don’t mean a separation by saying this. Asking for some space is not necessarily a bad thing, it certainly doesn’t mean a breakup.
It means you need some time just for yourself. Sometimes it happens that we are living our lives and assume that we are satisfied with it but often we feel irritated, anxious and miss something. These are the signs that you need some distance in your relationship. But it does not happen with all of us, sometimes we don’t even know and feel about these signs, we think we are happy and convince ourselves to be happy but space is missing.
My sister shared an experience of her life. She is very happy with her married life and family. A while back, she got a chance to visit Kerela with her friends. That was a college tour and she had to go there without her family.
It was the first time when she went on such a visit. And it became a memorable one! She enjoyed a lot. When she was describing that visit and showed the photographs they took there, her face was sparkling with a unique happiness and excitement. She told me how much she enjoyed those days with friends. She pointed out some very small things which we often ignore like wandering wherever you desire, laughing loudly without any reason, eat what she wants at that moment, running behind her friends, taking funny selfies and many more.

I understood what she meant, it not like that that we have some restrictions not to do these things in our lives but we ourselves make some rules and regulations to live according to. We do what our partner likes and gradually we forget our personal interest and hobbies. Every healthy relationship needs space.
Things to do…
A little something which they do differently, away from one another. This could include things like him going to play a sport with his friends or going to the library by himself or drink with his friends, her going solo shopping or on a date night with her girlfriends or visiting a salon and reading a book or taking some funny photographs.
So what to do, I think making a distance for a while from our relation is a solution. It could be for a few hours or alternate weekends or a couple of nights.
This is so when we come back to each other, it will be renewing and revitalization. We are thrilled to share our experiences and bind with each other with new excitement.
We all need some changes in our lives to get recharged because a monotonous lifestyle is never your best friend.

Say it in a gentle way
Sometimes we feel a hesitation in saying it to our partners. It’s really a tough situation. Saying ‘i need some space’ can be confusing, even it can hurt your partner and he or she can think you are not satisfied with your relationship. You remind your partner that you love him/her but you need some space for your personal growth. It is not a permanent space. You should also accept your partner’s feelings and value them. If he/she asks you for a short break, it doesn’t mean that the relationship is going to finish. You both should give value to each other.
A little space will give a chance to connect with yourself. It will be a golden time to know yourself in a true sense. What do you want, what is your personal interest, how you can make yourself happy, you will find all the answers that disturb you from time to time. Remember you need to be bound to yourself to bind with your partner perfectly. Do things that could make you happy, in this way you can actually contact yourself. you both will understand the value of each other’s presence at such times.

Actually, two people who become one after marriage or living with each other and have feelings for each other are actually not one in reality. They are two different people with a lot of different interests, doesn’t matter what your age is, without knowing who you are as individuals, you cannot come together to create something new. A small space will help you to become closer.
You can decide it with a mutual opinion. The time and length of this space and either you want to connect with each other by phone or not, everything should be mutually decided with a friendly atmosphere.
A little space, a few days away time will bring freshness and excitement to your relationship. It will remind you both the value of each other so why not, after all our relationship is so precious. Don’t you think so?

I recently visited this beautiful place that lies on the way to Mussoorie. It was an hour’s drive from my home. For this occasion, I slipped into my brand new suit from Imara Fashion.
Imara is a well known ethnic fashion brand that specializes in its contemporary take on conventional ethnic wear. This entire suit is from their new AW18 collection and it couldn’t have been better. The colour of the kurta is stunning and it’s just so beautiful!! The white dupatta and leggings are the perfect combination and I kept the accessories pale pink because the Kurta is such a statement piece in itself. What do you think about my outfit? Have you shopped from the Imara AW18 collection yet?

I’m wearing-

I agree completely with everything you mentioned in your post! My husband and I gave each other space to do our own thing since we started dating. As we became more serious we spent more time together, but we still allow each other to spend some time on our own. He doesn’t mind doing everything together, but I am the type of person that needs to be alone every now and then and he respects that. Thank you for sharing!

Such a great post! Taking some time for ourselves is so important. When we are happy with ourselves, we radiate happiness into our relationship as well. I think it is important to learn how to be our own person, because when we are content with ourselves, then our relationships will be happy as well. We cannot have a happy relationship if we don’t know what makes us happy and what we need. Taking time to get to know ourselves is important.
