Hope you all must have enjoyed the preparations for festivals and are ready to celebrate them. I’m sure you must have planned to look your best in this week. Festivals are the best occasion to wear something special and create some ravishing and artistic makeup looks.
You need to focus on your eye makeup first, it is this area that is the most important part of your face. For the eye makeup, there are several products which are essential but a good eyeliner is the most significant product. My today’s review is about a new eyeliner pen which I bought recently and have used a few times. This is Lakme Iconic Liner Pen Fine Tip and the product which I’m going to examine today.
What company says…
Lakme introduces the newest trend that allows you to style your eyes in more than one way. Introducing which comes with two interesting nibs: Fine tip and Block Tip. Get precision lined eyes and an intense black finish with the new Lakme Eyeconic Liner Pen – Fine Tip, which is perfect for an everyday look. On days when you want to look dramatic, get an intense, bold black finish with the Lakme Eyeconic Liner Pen – Block Tip. Lakme Eyeconic Liner pen allows you to draw long-lasting, waterproof strokes across your eyelid that stay for 14 hours.
In the mirror of my own experience
Lakme Iconic Liner Pen comes in a basic black pen shaped packaging like other pen eyeliners. It’s very handy and lightweight. Pretty easy to hold and use. The cap is sturdy and closes tight enough, keeping the pen tip safe. The fine tip is also great to make a thin line on the eyes.
The texture is very thin in comparison of other pen eyeliners. When I first used, I thought it could get a little messy while applying but it didn’t. Once it dries it settles to a transfer proof, silky matte line. it’s totally black in colour. It glides on the lids easily. I get a deep black line without much effort. It’s really easy to use.
It dries quickly and you get a transfer-proof line which I love. I found the tip of the liner slightly stiff. I have to hold my lid tightly before applying it because it doesn’t really touch the lids but I can get a thick or a thin line perfectly. It feels thin and glossy during the application but turns into completely a matte finish once it dries out. It takes just a few seconds to dry just about 30-40 seconds so you should be careful during these moments to save your line from transferring or smudging.
Coming to the staying power, it’s really good. It lasts for about 5-6 hours and doesn’t fade but yes, it’s not completely waterproof. It’s water resistant but doesn’t beat sweating. You should go for a completely waterproof one if you are going out for long hours in sweaty weather. I use a cleansing balm or olive oil for removing the liner.

Overall it’s a good eyeliner. The formula is good and very easy to use. It has great pigmentation and provides an intense black line. The tip of the liner is a bit stiff but still, one can manage and get a perfect desirable line. I love how it gives a completely matte and velvety finish. I really wish it was completely waterproof. Anyway, if you don’t mind these small cons, it’s worth a try.
