We had the most awful rainy weekend in the city. I wouldn’t mind the rains so much if only we would get some proper sunlight at least for a few hours during the day but the worst part is the gloomy grey sky even when it isn’t raining. Do you know what else I’ve been missing? My daily evening walks because rains are a definitely an excuse to stay back at home.
Last week, I visited Chandigarh and what leaves me in awe about the city, every time, is the kind and number of spots that city has for easy workout activities i.e. well maintained parks. Parks are such a lovely public space to jog around, spend time outside in serenity away from the noisy roads.
We don’t have that sort of an environment in most of other Indian cities which is quite disappointing. With rising awareness regarding the health benefits of walking and jogging, let’s hope we get more of those in the future.
I’m sure most of you will agree with me that jogging is the easiest and most economical way of staying fit and healthy. There are gyms popping up in every other corner of all cities but not everyone has the time and money to invest in them. That’s where jogging comes to our rescue. All it takes is half an hour, a pair of comfortable shoes and you’re ready to trot away leisurely.
Jogging is extremely beneficial for our health. The slow running is less taxing on the body and also provides a great way to warm up for the more intense exercises.
There are so many types of exercises that most of the people are unaware about. Most of these are focused on one part of our body or the other. However, jogging and brisk walking is an all in one package. From helping in losing those extra calories to maintaining a healthy heart, the benefits of jogging are countless. I am really enjoying this workout these days, infact I’ve always been a fan of going on late night walks when the air is cool and pleasant. What kind of workout (s) are you into?
Coming to my outfit:
Today’s outfit is a really casual one, as casual as it can get really in summers. Just a basic slogan tee with ripped denims. I wore this lovely pink t-shirt from Roundneck, one of my favorite t-shirt stores! It has a cute and simple RUN logo which inspired this post. I finished my look with my new white sneakers and a white bag. What do you think? Is tshirt-jeans your go to summer outfit?
