After a long time, I’m here with a beauty haul. I recently grabbed some makeup products from one of my favourite brands, The Body Shop. After using numerous skin and body care products, I tried some makeup products from this brand and I have mentioned several times that they were simply amazing! For example, I’m obsessed with their Fresh Nude Foundation and Concealer, their Honey Bronze Highlighting Dome, Paint in Colour Eyeshadow Palette, glossy and matte lipsticks and many more. I think, seeing their makeup products’ superior quality, they have been underrated till now. This time I also got some of their makeup brushes. I was looking for some new brushes so I thought why not try The Body Shop brushes this time. Did you know about the Seriously Sweet Sale at The Body Shop? They have some amazing offers and deals that are not to be missed if you’re a TBS fan like me!
In this haul, you will find a total of 4 makeup brushes, one lipstick, one Eau de Toilette and also the Glistening Glow powder. I will talk about these products because I have used them and created a makeup look with them. So let’s see all the products one by one.
Fresh Foundation Brush & Blusher Brush
The first is a foundation brush and the second one is for blush. When I touched them I wasn’t surprised to feel their superior quality. In all these years, I have used so many products from this brand, so quality-wise they are as I expected. These brushes are totally cruelty-free and are made of synthetic fibres.
The handles of these brushes are smooth and they have a thick and flat base so that you can stand them upright if you want. I usually keep my brushes in a glass jar. The synthetic fibres of these brushes are super soft and provide a smooth and flawless finish. Applying your foundation and blush with these brushes is actually a magical feeling. I’m really loving these two!
Eyeshadow Blending Brush & Double Ended Eyeshadow Brush
I also picked these two eye makeup brushes. The First is the Eyeshadow blending brush and the second is a double ending brush. Both come in the lovely outer packaging. Their handles are made of bamboo and aluminium. The nylon bristles are super soft and plush. The Eyeshadow Blending Brush is great to blend the harsh edges of eyeshadows and gives a flawless and blended finish. You can work any powder and cream eyeshadow with it.
The Double Ended Eyeshadow Brush is really useful for anyone who doesn’t want to keep a lot of brushes for eye makeup. This is a great addition to your brush collection, particularly if you travel a lot or have to make up your face on the go – essentially it is a 2 for the size of 1 space saver. One end is a slanted brush, perfect for creating
precise lines and defined strokes – I think it is particularly useful for giving a liner effect to top or bottom lash lines. The other end is a blender brush,
and the perfect size to cover your lid very quickly but not too big that can’t be controlled. The design is perfect to help you blend colours together seamlessly.
Matte Lipstick Sienna Rose
I’m crazy about nude lipsticks. you all know it. It’s a matte lipstick but I can say after using it that it’s the perfect creamy matte lipstick for dry lips. This isn’t something you can often say about matte lipstick! It’s enriched with brazil nut oil and bee’s wax which helps I guess.
The shade is the perfect dusty, pinky, nude that I really love. The texture is super smooth and glides on the lips smoothly. One two swipes offer the required colour. It’s so similar to Pillow Talk from Charlotte Tilbury. I will suggest you buy it after testing it on your own in the store because I’m not sure if it will flatter medium to dusky skin tones.
Coconut Bronze Glistening Glow Powder
Summer is the best time to pick a new bronzer. The Body Shop has very highly rated bronzers, in particular those for pale skin, but I have tried one for the first time. The texture of this is so smooth and it’s so lovely to apply and blend. The shimmer in this is very refined, so it’s a powder with a natural radiant glow.
This doesn’t smell of anything, making it suitable for those who dislike fragrances in makeup. The bronzy side’s colour is definitely a shade for pale skin. The highlighter side is kind of my skin tone shade with a beige-champagne glow and subtle, natural radiance. I used them separately. If I mix them together, they are neither a bronzer nor a highlighter for me, but something in between. Packaging is a tin box and you get the softest puff inside, which I actually didn’t try it for applying this product, but I think I’ll use it for setting powder.
Indian Night Jasmine Eau De Toilette
As the name suggests, this perfume smells just like Jasmines! This has a floral scent to it making it smell so beautiful!! It is vegan so targets many concerned people.
Indian women have used Jasmine flowers as perfume and adorn their hair since ancient times. It exudes an intense fragrance at the time of night hence The Body Shop named the range as “Indian Night Jasmine“.
The extraction from Jasmine flowers resulted in the making of a uniquely warm and intensely heady white floral fragrance. The fragrance is intensified by the addition of notes of sandalwood and vanilla.
The three main ingredients, i.e Indian Jasmines, Sandalwood and Vanilla resulted in such a lovely fragrance that is irresistible! This is my summer scent these days.
My Makeup Look
I have created this makeup look using these products. It’s a simple glowy makeup that I would love to do on any summer holiday. I used Coconut Bronze Glistening Glow Powder in different ways- like bronzer(the dark side) highlighter(the lighter one) & both shades as eyeshadow. I really loved using their makeup brushes. The shade of Sienna Rose lipstick was absolutely perfect with this bronzy makeup. I finished this makeup look by spraying Indian Night Jasmine Eau De Toilette….Ah I love the feeling.
I highly recommend you to stock up on old favourites and try new products from The Body Shop during the Seriously Sweet Sale that will end by 31st July.
